Our story
We started with a plumbing company and a stack of paper timesheets.
We're two engineers who founded Opus in college, with industry experience building production software. Our first contract was a plumbing company where every timesheet, work order, and invoice was filled out by pen and re-typed by the office. We built them a dashboard, put AI to work on the re-typing, and watched hours of weekly grunt work disappear.
That project taught us how we work best: we don't sell software from a slide deck. We sit with your team and watch how the work actually happens — who fills out what, where things get lost, which task everyone quietly dreads — and then we automate exactly that. Nothing generic, nothing you have to bend your business around.
Being small and young is the point. You talk directly to the people writing the code, we move in weeks instead of quarters, and we price like a two-person shop that wants to earn the next project — not like an agency amortising an office lease.
